Air conditioning fails for boring, preventable reasons. Blocked filters starve the coil of airflow. A fouled condenser pushes head pressure up and running cost with it. A silted condensate tray backs up and drips onto a ceiling tile. A slow refrigerant leak halves the output long before anyone thinks to call an engineer. Every one of those is caught on a planned visit.

How often should air conditioning be serviced? For a normal office or shop, once or twice a year is usually right, with the main visit ahead of the cooling season. Systems running continuously, such as comms room or server room cooling, want quarterly attention because they never get a rest period. Kitchens and dusty industrial units also need more frequent filter and coil work than a clean office.

On the compliance side, systems containing fluorinated refrigerants must be leak checked at intervals based on the CO2-equivalent charge of the system. We carry out those checks and keep the records as part of the contract. For your own legal position, the official Government F-Gas guidance is the definitive source.

The contract itself is simple. We survey the site for free, list every unit with its model, location, refrigerant type and charge, agree how many visits a year it needs, then give you one written annual figure. No per visit surprises.

Want the refrigeration side covered too? See refrigeration maintenance contracts, or call 07940 953486 and we will price both together.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How often should air conditioning be serviced?

Once or twice a year for a typical office or retail unit, quarterly for continuously running comms room cooling, and more often for kitchens and dusty industrial sites. We set the interval at survey stage based on how hard the equipment works.

Does servicing actually reduce running costs?

Clean filters and coils restore airflow and heat transfer, which lets the system reach setpoint sooner and cycle off. A fouled condenser makes the compressor work harder for the same cooling, so cleaning it is one of the most direct efficiency wins available.

Will a contract keep my manufacturer warranty valid?

Most manufacturers require evidence of regular servicing by a qualified engineer for warranty support. Our per visit reports give you that evidence.

Do you service systems you did not install?

Yes. We take on existing systems of any age and brand, including Panasonic, LG, Midea, Daikin, Mitsubishi and Toshiba equipment.

What if a unit is beyond economic repair?

We will say so plainly, give you the repair cost against a replacement cost, and let you decide. We do not quietly keep charging to nurse a dying unit along.
